Carlisle Wide Plank Floors Receives NWFA/NOFMA Certification

CARLISLE WIDE PLANK FLOORS RECEIVES NWFA/NOFMA CERTIFICATION

The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) has announced that Carlisle Wide Plank Floors in Stoddard, New Hampshire, has earned the NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification.

“We are pleased to welcome Carlisle Wide Plank Floors as the newest member of the NWFA/NOFMA Program,” says Michael Martin, President and CEO at NWFA. “Embracing transparency and third party certification in the wood flooring space has become a requisite to compete at a high level. The growing list of NWFA/NOFMA manufacturer members is an excellent example of this growing market demand.”

“For over 50 years we have always provided the highest quality of flooring and exceeded industry standards in our manufacturing processes,” says Chris Sy, President of Carlisle Wide Plank Floors. “It’s an honor to have this validated by the NWFA and their NOFMA certification, which has provided a mark of distinction for wood flooring for more than 100 years.”

The NWFA/NOFMA certification shows that a manufacturer’s wood flooring meets or exceeds the industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content, and average board length. Certified mills are inspected a minimum of two times per year to ensure consistent grade standards are met.

“Being affiliated with the NWFA allows us to tap into the breadth of knowledge that the NWFA represents with 33 years in the wood flooring business,” says Paul Senechal, Director of Operations at Carlisle Wide Plank Floors. “We are able to network with individuals across a broad range of skill sets to ensure we are using their knowledge to implement best practices when it comes to manufacturing custom floor and ancillary products.”
