NWFA Hosts Member Pavilion at 2019 NAHB International Builders’ Show

NWFA HOSTS MEMBER PAVILION AT 2019 NAHB INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS’ SHOW

The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) hosted a member pavilion at the 2019 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show (IBS), which took place Feb. 19–21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This is the first year the association has hosted a pavilion designated specifically for manufacturers and suppliers of wood flooring related products at the show. The following members exhibited along with the NWFA: Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring; Valinge Innovation; Old Wood; BuildDirect Technologies; and Hardwoods of Wisconsin.

“As NWFA works to promote its new “Real Wood. Real Life.” campaign, it’s important that we expand our presence to promote real wood floors to all of the decision makers,” says Michael Martin, NWFA President & CEO. “Bringing our members to the builder market helps promote the value of wood flooring to an influential marketplace.”

“We had a very successful first time showing at IBS in Las Vegas. It was nice to be part of the NWFA wood floor pavilion so we weren’t lost in the zoo of giant displays,” says Jessica Hickman Fresch, Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring. “We were surprised at how many builders were looking for a source for unfinished product. They were also very interested in knowing that we have references for skilled (NWFA Certified) installers and finishers in their areas.”

“The show was a very interesting departure from our usual ‘floor shows’ where every person in the place had seen it all a hundred times,” says David Old, Old Wood. “We had a lot of visitors from every walk of the building trades, building e-commerce and, very importantly many architects and designers. It was a great show and we’ll be back next year.”

Now in its 75th year, the International Builders’ Show, is recognized as one of the largest gatherings of home building professionals in North America. According to the NAHB, this show drew one of the largest crowds in 10 years with more than 67,000 home building professionals from around the world in attendance.
