NWFA’s NWFA University off to Phenomenal Start
The National Wood Flooring Association launched the NWFA University eight weeks ago and since July 1, 2,300+ courses have already been completed.
“We never dreamed the University would launch this successfully,” says Michael Martin, President & CEO. “2,374 is an unbelievable number to achieve in just eight weeks.”
In addition, NWFA University has received much positive attention from peers:
Last week, NWFAU was mentioned in The Hill Congressional blog, being praised for offering credentials via online courses and hands-on training opportunities. The University was also featured as a best practice to watch for at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) annual meeting.
The NWFA University badging system was recently featured in a blog posted from Credly, the digital credential partner of NWFAU. NWFA’s Education Director explained the thought process behind the badging system saying, “With a dwindling labor supply, we wanted to engage young professionals with digital credentials that would make them more marketable. If they are contracted to install flooring, they can literally show potential customers their certification on their mobile device. Since we were transitioning some of our training to the online environment, the digital credentials made sense.”
This online platform gives NWFA members access to hands-on and online training provided through NWFA, when and where they want it. NWFA University is a resource to engage with other professionals, take part in meaningful education, and turn a job into a career.
